FOUR-EVER IN MOTION’s Innovative Adjustable Seat Technology is Installed in First Vehicle as Real Life Demonstration

Newly released video shows fully functioning seat concept in Ford Explorer

ONTARIO, CA – Jan. 29, 2018 – FOUR-EVER IN MOTION, creators of an innovative patented adjustable seat technology that enhances safety for child passengers, is proud to announce that a fully functioning demonstration of the seat has been installed in a late model Ford Explorer. The concept, first developed in 2012, has undergone additional research and development which has resulted in a product that will reduce human error when securing children in vehicles across several modes of transportation including passenger and first-responder vehicles to airplanes, trains and buses.

The FOUR-EVER IN MOTION adjustable seat is designed for OEM integration. Once an infant carrier is no longer needed for a child, the adjustable seat continues to secure the child for all growth stages thereafter with its 5-point harness and moving seat bottom and bolsters. The fully functioning seat has an integrated software platform that asks for a child’s height and weight input. Once the data is entered, the seat will automatically move to its optimal position for the proper restraint points. In the vehicle demonstration, the software user interface is accessed through an independent touch screen. In a real-life OEM integration, the software would be accessed via the existing infotainment system.

When data indicates that one in three car seats are installed incorrectly and over 75% of child passenger injuries are preventable, a concept that assists in reducing human error is needed. “It’s a great feeling to have the seat in real life in an automobile and be able to show the public and the industry that a major step has been taken to improve child passenger safety and that also helps parents feel much more comfortable with their transportation needs,” said Lenard Ascher, co-creator of the seat technology and a nationally certified Child Passenger Safety Technician.

From concept to reality, the installed adjustable seat technology demonstration showcases the effortless motion of the seat as it moves to provide optimal positioning for the child. In addition, the seat shows no compromise to the space of the adjacent passenger seats. The adjustable seat was designed to allow more than one seat to be equipped with the technology.  “Since we have designed the seat with respect to today’s seat widths, you can fit two of our concept seats side-by-side,” said Ascher.

Not only is this adjustable seat technology created especially for growing children, but special needs children and adults also benefit from the seat concept when traditional seat belts are ineffective.

FOUR-EVER IN MOTION’s Adjustable Seat Technology Founder Achieves
National Child Passenger Safety Technician Certification

Lenard Ascher continues contributive efforts to child passenger safety.

ONTARIO, CA – Mar. 5, 2017 – Since FOUR-EVER IN MOTION’s inception in 2012, Lenard and Barb Ascher, creators of its patented adjustable seat technology that enhances safety for child passengers, have dedicated their focus to working with car seat manufacturers and car makers to integrate the technology into new vehicles. The Aschers are equally focused on becoming contributing members to the child passenger safety advocate community.

Lenard Ascher became a national certified Child Passenger Safety (CPS) Technician through completing and passing the certification course. He now joins a prestigious team of over 39,000 nationally CPS technicians. “After the initial development of our seat technology, I wanted to continue to be a part of a team that continues to reach out to the public and parents in order to help educate them on ways to keep their children as safe as possible, especially during transport,” said Lenard. “The certification course was demanding and presented such in-depth information. I am extremely proud to be a certified technician.”

Their adjustable seat technology was developed to minimize human error when restraining a child during transport. From infancy to adulthood, the seat technology adjusts on its own to provide optimal settings for the passenger. While infants still require the use of a carrier in conjunction with the seat technology, two settings present the convenient option of using a carrier with or without its base. Once a toddler, the seat utilizes a height and weight factor that determines the optimal seat adjustments for the applicable 5-point harness or seat belt.

“As a certified technician, I enjoy being a part of the car seat check-up events that directly impact my local community,” Leonard continued. “There are many important details for proper installation. Our hope is for our adjustable seat technology to one day become available for all vehicles in order to provide families with a safer and  enhanced transportation option for their children.”

FOUR-EVER IN MOTION’s Adjustable Seat Technology Releases
New Technical Document

Document details latest development of patented seat technology components.

Toddler in FOUR-EVER IN MOTION Adjustable SeatONTARIO, CA – Mar. 5, 2017 – FOUR-EVER IN MOTION’s patented adjustable seat technology was developed to focus on enhancing child passenger safety through a reduction of human error when restraining a child in various modes of transportation. The seat technology was designed utilizing adjustable seat components that can move forwards, backwards, up and down along with degrees of tilt in order to place a child in an optimal position when using a 5-point harness or seat belt. The designed components can accommodate endless adjustment scenarios. The user interface that accompanies the seat technology includes a height and weight factor input which yields the optimal seat adjustments and proceeds to move the seat components to the determined position.

The newly released technical document covers, in-depth, the core aspects of the adjustable seat technology design complete with visual sketches that demonstrate the ease in which the components can be integrated into a vehicle. Run by servo motors, the seat design can integrate into any new vehicle while assuming the same interior design elements such as the upholstery.

“Our seat technology was designed for ease of integration into any vehicle – especially new vehicles,” said company co-founder and seat designer Lenard Ascher. “The seats of today are already versatile in its capabilities with a combination of both safety, comfort and convenience attributes.  What our seat design adds is an elevated enhancement to a seat which focuses expressly on child passenger safety. By reducing potential human error when restraining a child for transport, we hope to curb the statistic of preventable child injuries and deaths that are attributed to improper restraint.”

FOUR-EVER IN MOTION Invents New Adjustable Car Seat Technology

Patented car seat ensures safety for infants to adults through four settings

ONTARIO, CA – Feb. 20, 2016 – FOUR-EVER IN MOTION, a California company owned by Lenard and Barb Ascher, introduces their new patented four-in-one adjustable car seat technology for integration into transportation mediums including cars, trains and airplanes. The adjustable car seat technology provides the ultimate solution for commercial and personal transportation. When no children are present, the default seat setting remains comfortable for adults. Through four specific seat settings, infants in carriers are safely secured in a rear-facing position that is cradled by the seat while growing children typically in need of booster car seats can achieve the required height by law with one of the provided settings.

The adjustable car seat technology was conceptualized through a real-life scenario where Barb Ascher provided daily transportation to her grandchildren over a five-year period.  In the beginning, Barb transported a three-year-old and two newborns. Over time, the children grew and another grandchild was born.  “Depending on the grandchild that I was transporting, the shifting and reconfiguration of the different required car seats was frequent. I found myself thinking that there had to be a better and more convenient way to accommodate the transportation of children who are in varying stages of growth,” said Barb Ascher.

Debuting at the 2015 LA Auto Show, the seat technology was met with enthusiasm and positive feedback from parents, automotive industry media and members of safety organizations.  The adjustable car seat solves one very important issue while providing a convenience factor for parents. “There is an overwhelmingly staggering statistic of children and car seats being secured improperly in vehicles,” said Lenard Ascher. “Our seat technology favorably ensures that car seats and children at all ages are properly secured.”

Families with children also face the need to purchase several different car seats. With the FOUR-EVER IN MOTION car seat technology, children who are no longer required to be transported in an infant carrier will be able to meet the seat law standards through one of the available seat settings.

The adjustable car seat technology is fitting for several types of transportation:

For Car Manufacturers – The seat technology can be an optional upgrade with the control settings available on the dashboard display screen where other vehicle controls are typically managed.

For Airplanes – The adjustable seat is now an added value of consideration for parents who purchase a separate seat for their child. Currently, many parents forgo the added cost for a regular non-conforming seat and opt to have the child sit on their lap for the duration of the flight which has no safety value – especially during moments of turbulence where the child has a significantly increased risk of injury.

For Medical, Fire and Rescue – As first responders to accident scenes, fire or emergency rescues, medical teams transporting children as passengers accompanying the injured can also be properly seated. The adjustable car seat technology allows one seat to accommodate children of any age – making it a safe and convenient one-seat fits all solution.

For Temporary Transportation – For rental car agencies and taxi cabs who transport visitors, the added safety of the car seat technology eliminates the need to rent or carry infant or booster seats for children.

For Trains – The car seat technology can be integrated into particular sections of a train for families with children.
